Kardinal Schulte House
The Kardinal Schulte House, as a former seminary, is now a modern conference center and guesthouse in Bergisch-Gladbach, close to Cologne. For further information please see website (sorry, only in German).
Guest rooms:
Facilities in all rooms include en-suite facilities with WC shower and hairdryer. Rooms are non-smoking and have wi-fi and a TV. Rooms with disabled access are available.

From Cologne airport
Take a Regional Train (S 13, from track 1 or 2) direction Sindorf or Düren until the stop Köln Messe/Deutz. By some minutes walking you reach the station Deutz Bahnhof Messewhere you’ll find the tram 1 (STR 1) direction Bensberg/ Bergisch Gladbach. Take the STR 1 until the final station “Bergisch Gladbach, Bensberg”
From here there are two possibilities:
- Take a 10-15 minute walk up to the venue
- Take the exit in the direction “Gartenstraße”
- Make a right turn onto “Steinstraße” once you leave the train station
- Follow the street and continue on “Overather Str.”
- Then make a left turn after you pass “Gerberweg”
- Follow the street and you will see the “Kardinal Schulte Haus” on your right

2. Take a short ride by bus (max 10 min.)
Take BusNo. 420 (direction Bahnhof, Overath) at the final station Bergisch Gladbach, Bensberg: and get off at the station “Bensberg- Thomas-Morus- Akademie”. Altogether from the airport to the venue you will need approx.55 min.
From Frankfurt International Airport
If you arrive at Frankfurt International Airport, you will need to purchase an ICE train ticket (round trip)to “Köln Messe/Deutz”. Further Information how to get to “Kardinal Schulte Haus” from there is described above.
From Düsseldorf International Airport
If you arrive at DUS Airport, you can take the Sky Train to “Düsseldorf-Flughafen Train Station”. From there, take theRE1 in the direction “Aachen HBF” until “Bf Deutz/Messe”. You will need a Regional Train Ticket (round trip). Further information how to get to “Kardinal Schulte Haus” is described above.
From Cologne Main Station
First take S11, track 10 (S-Bahn/regional express train) in direction to Bergisch Gladbach until the end station Bergisch Gladbach, then bus No. 227 direction Overath/Moitzfeld, Bergisch Gladbach until the station Bensberg- Thomas-Morus-Akademie (approx. 45 min)

“EinzelTicket Erwachsene, Preisstufe 2b“ (One-Way-Ticket, category 2b) 3,80 Euro
This is a ticket machine for all kinds of trains.
Taxi
From Cologne Main Station:
Around 20 km (20-25 minutes drive) approx. 40- 45 Euro
From Cologne/ Bonn Airport:
Around 15 km (17 minutes drive) approx. 30-35 Euro
Please note: The EU reimbursement conditions do not accept taxi receipts unless they are well argued.
By car
Parking at the venue
At Kardinal Schulte Haus you will find 285 parking spaces. Costs for one day: 3,00 Euro. Costs for second and third day: 1,50 Euro each
